Privacy
Last updated October 28, 2026. This page describes what the code on getdailyedge.com actually does.
Short version: your trades, journal, paper accounts, chart layouts and portfolio stay in your browser; we never see them. We count anonymous visits, and card payments are handled by Stripe. There are no accounts, no ad trackers and no cookies of ours.
Your app data stays on your device
- The Daily Edge app stores everything in your browser's local storage on this device: journal entries and trades, rules and mistake tags, paper trading accounts, chart layouts and drawings, alerts, portfolio holdings and tracked addresses, settings, the 7-day trial start date and your Pro license key.
- None of it is sent to us. There is no account and no server of ours that receives it. Clearing your browser data erases it, so use Export to keep a backup.
- Your Pro license key is checked inside your browser against a public key built into the app. It is not sent anywhere to be checked.
Data your browser fetches directly from other services
To show prices, charts and balances, your browser contacts these public services directly. They see a normal web request from your browser (including your IP address), never your journal:
- Prices and candles: Coinbase Exchange public API, with Kraken as a fallback.
- Funding rates and the Fear & Greed index (market page): OKX, Hyperliquid and alternative.me.
- Portfolio balances for addresses you choose to track: mempool.space or blockstream.info (bitcoin), and publicnode.com (Ethereum and Solana). The address you enter is sent to that service to look up its balance.
Anonymous visit counting
- We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly counter. It sets no cookies and we store no visitor ID in your browser.
- What is sent: the page path (without the query string), the page title, the referring site, your screen width, a promo tag if you arrived from one of our tagged links, and anonymous events such as how far you scrolled, time on the page, and clicks on key buttons and links (for example "open app" or "buy").
- It never sends anything you type, your journal, your portfolio or your addresses.
- GoatCounter keeps counts, not raw visitor logs. It says it does not store IP addresses or browser strings.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is sent at all.
Buying with a card (Stripe)
- Card checkout happens on Stripe's own page. Stripe collects your card details and your email (for the receipt) and handles them under Stripe's privacy policy. We never see your card number.
- From Stripe we get the payment status, amount and product. Like any Stripe merchant, we can see your email address and basic payment details (such as card brand and last 4 digits) in our Stripe dashboard. We use them only to deliver your purchase and answer support questions.
- Our checkout server keeps the order ID, Stripe session and payment IDs, product, amount and delivery status so your thank-you page can deliver your license or download.
Buying with bitcoin
- No email or account is needed. When you ask for a quote we record the order ID, product, price, exact sat amount, times, a hash of your secret claim key, the order status and the paying transaction ID once it arrives.
- We also record the IP address that asked for the quote. We use it only to limit abuse (for example, too many open quotes from one network) and to tell our own test quotes apart. It stays with the order record and is not shared.
- Your order ID and claim key are saved in your browser so you can come back to your order. If the normal checkout can't be reached, your browser may send the request as an encrypted Nostr message through public Nostr relays, using a random key created in your browser just for this.
- Bitcoin payments are public on the blockchain by nature.
Newsletter
There is no mailing list. Newsletter issues are read on this site; we don't collect email addresses for them.
Hosting and logs
- The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks.
- We don't keep access logs of page views. Our checkout server keeps only the order records described above.
- We don't sell or share personal data, and we don't use advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your choices
- Clear this site's data in your browser to delete everything the app stored. Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control to stop visit counting.
- Questions, or want an order record deleted? Email support@getdailyedge.com with your order ID.
If this changes, we'll update this page and its date.
